The question of mental health has never been so spoken about than it is in this present day. We are so fortunate to be living in this information era, where we can learn so much about ourselves with the click of a button. We are creatures of habit, and this tends to get us stuck in routines that may or may not be good for us. Prevention is better than a cure in most cases, but most times, we do not realize the hole we are burying ourselves in until it’s too late. Finding the root of the problem is the best method for setting your mind free from the eights holding you down. So, if you are here to learn how you can optimize your mental health, keep reading because we have a lot to share with you today.

Remind yourself of the good you’ve done
This time of year is definitely a jolly one. Family and friends come together, and we celebrate the year past. However, many of us get swallowed whole by the negative things we have endured throughout the year. Talking about the negative can be helpful, but fixating on it is not. One great method for optimizing your mental health is gratitude. Instead of holding space for the traumas, make room for the opportunities coming your way by letting go of everything that has hurt you. Focus instead on the lessons you have learned through it all.
Go through the year, and take stock of where you came from compared to where you are now. Even if you are still hurting, you will have gained more knowledge than you had at the beginning of the year. That is more valuable than any Christmas gift. This can also help you see where you have room to improve in the upcoming year.
2023 predictions
Many people want to know what to expect for the new year. They go out seeking psychics to get such insights. Questions of love and new careers are on their lips, but our prediction is that 2023 is a time when we must focus on the environment. We need to make sure the environment in our minds can facilitate good mental health, as well as keep our external environment a safe place to nurture that health.
It is perfectly okay to be asking whether or not you’ll finally find your true love in 2023, but try to determine whether or not that’s actually what you want, or what you think society expects of you. Life is not a race to achieve certain accomplishments, it is a journey of self-discovery. This is different for all of us. Comparing yourself to others is only going to set you down a path of self-judgment. Remember, you create your own world, not anyone else.
You are the guardian of your gate
Reality is extremely malleable. Imagine yourself as a jeweler, melting down metals to create intricate designs to wear. You can create items for other people, like the inspiration we provide to our loved ones. However, it is their choice whether or not they want to wear the item or not, just like it s your choice what you allow into your reality. Like the spider creating her web, you are the designer of your own web of life.
In other words, your life is a product of your thoughts, and your environment has the ability to influence you. But, only if you let it. You can choose to focus on the parts of the environment that uplift you or the parts that fill you with fear and doubt. This is where letting go of what no longer serves you comes in. Easier said than done? Simply making yourself aware of the parts you don’t like, can help you release them.
Think of your mind as a tightly gripped closed fist that opens up releasing all the pain and trauma, almost like Pandora’s box (without the intention to set chaos into other people’s lives). You might need to repeat this a few times, but the more you understand the thought that scares you, the easier letting it go will become. This means you must not shoo unwanted thoughts away. Embrace them. Ask yourself why you are thinking like that, and tell yourself you don’t want those limiting thoughts to hold you back.
You chose this life
One of the best moments we experience in our QHHT sessions – those “ah-ha!” moments! That point in which we tell our clients that they chose this life. Usually, this is met with a raised eyebrow or two. No one likes to believe that we chose the trauma we are enduring. But the truth of the matter is, before you reincarnated here as a human, you designed the life you would live. Every gain, every heartache – you chose this.
This is not to say you chose a life of destruction, internally or externally. It is to remind you that you can deal with anything that comes your way. The web you have woven is all part of a much larger plan, and each lesson in life is sure to curb your future into something you were destined to fulfill. Embrace the journey, and do not be too hard on your thoughts.
